From May 28 to July 31, 2021, the Gallery MAGNIN-A will present Les Dr\u00f4lesses, a series of photographs taken by agn\u00e8s b., in the spring of 2020 during confinement. These images stage two portraits of Claire Tabouret in the springtime decor of agn\u00e8s’s garden dressed in creations from her personal wardrobe. Throughout the 80 images, Les Dr\u00f4lesses tells the story of the mischievous and timeless agn\u00e8s. It tells us about her childhood, the relationship between the designer and the artists and years of creation. She also tells us about a beautiful story of friendship born with Andr\u00e9 Magnin, thirty-two years ago as well as the admiration she has for the work of Claire Tabouret and some of her artist friends.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

“<\/span>This game Les Dr\u00f4lesses comes from childhood.<\/span> I did it for fun. I always do things in a playful way.<\/span> My work, I always do it with a lot of fun, fluidity. I<\/span> have met many artists, and artists always talk<\/span> about their childhood. Childhood is the humus, it<\/span> is the starting material. It is something<\/span> spontaneous, it is almost a need\u2026 This series<\/span> also evokes the link with the artists. I have<\/span> always had this desire to involve them in my<\/span> creations. It started in the 80’s with the<\/span> silkscreen prints on the t-shirt that we did<\/span> ourselves in my home, simple stuff but we do it<\/span> ourselves. There are a lot of clothes that I made<\/span> with painters, photographers, graffiti artists\u2026<\/span><\/em>” agn\u00e8s b.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
