“Un gant, un hachoir, une plume” is an intimate journey in images, through the objects belonging to a family of women – from Betty to Magali, then Ilda. These objects, whether modest or unusual, recount the memories, tenderness and creativity of a female lineage. Little by little, the book reveals a universal story of bonds, transmission and mourning sublimated by creation.
Over a hundred objects have been catalogued and photographed, brought to life by Magali Lambert‘s unique perspective: everyday objects, beauty accessories, childhood memories, family photos…
During this presentation evening, Magali Lambert will give a performance inspired by her book, combining moving objects with a reading by actress Marie-Cécile Ouakil.
The artist gives ordinary objects a second life. Through them, she explores memory, the passage of time and the invisible links between the living and the absent. She develops photographic, drawn, sculpted and written hybridisations from abandoned or neglected materials.
