Our commitments

A lifetime commitement

Fonds de dotation agnès b. was created in 2009 to structure philanthropy and sponsorship operations, in which the agnès b. brand and agnès in person have engaged for almost forty years. The endowment fund embodies a lifetime commitment and encapsulates a particular mindset: that of sharing.

Convinced that society´s future should rest upon solidarity and generosity, agnès b. supports a large number of organizations engaging in humanitarian or social causes, as well as cultural projects.

Understanding today’s world, supporting and innovating

The agnès b. endowment fund’s collaboration with NGOs and organisations involves analyzing their short- and long-term challenges. The fund is not intended to replace the institution. Rather, it aims to supplement existing gaps or support and to provide assistance to cultural or solidarity actors outside the scope of public action.

Since 2020, the endowment fund has had its own location, La Fab., in which dissemination and mediation actions in favor of solidarity are regularly embodied, whether it be the organization of meetings, conferences and events.

Sharing and solidarity

agnès b. has always been generous in many areas. In an effort to structure its work and to have a significant impact on the organizations and projects it supports, the endowment fund has refocused its efforts on three historical areas: extreme poverty, the fight against HIV/AIDS, and populations in migration situations.

Art, culture and creation

The agnès b. endowment fund has historically supported numerous projects at all stages of creation. Since the opening of its La Fab. venue in 2020, efforts dedicated to artistic projects have focused on initiatives that find expression there. Indeed, the exhibitions of the agnès b. collection, the activities of the Gallery and the Librairie du Jour, within La Fab., support multiple projects for the creation, dissemination, and promotion of art and culture.

Showing art differently

Through the Galerie du Jour Agnès B., opened in 1984 on Rue du Jour and then in 1997 on Rue Quincampoix in Paris, and various contemporary art fairs such as Paris Photo and Photodoc, the fund organizes several solo and group exhibitions each year. The fund is also responsible for preserving and presenting to the public Agnès B.’s art collection, which currently comprises over 5,000 pieces. The collection has been exhibited by the Lille Métropole Museum of Modern, Contemporary, and Outsider Art (LAM) in 2015, the National Museum of the History of Immigration in 2016, the Lambert Collection in Avignon in 2017, and the National School of Photography in Arles in 2019.

Tara and the commitment for the planet

The agnès b. endowment fund environmental causes through the Tara Ocean Foundation, which is making remarkable progress in preserving the oceans. Studying and understanding the impact of climate change and the ecological crisis on the oceans is part of a humanist commitment and a sense of responsibility towards the planet and future generations. This ecological monitoring, scientific research, and public awareness campaign also became an artistic residency during the 2014 Mediterranean and 2016 Pacific missions, two initiatives fully supported by the agnès b. endowment fund.
