Thursday, June 20 2024 ; 6:30 p.m.

On the occasion of the exhibition “Crescendo… des Ritals à Paris!” curated by Andrea Ceresa, Tiziano Foucault-Gini and Virginia Marchi and running until July 21 at Galerie du Jour, Chloé Lecci López, exhibiting artist and director, presents her short film “Tutto apposto gioia mia“, selected at Cannes. The screening will be preceded by that of Jérémy Pavoncelli‘s short film “Foglio di Sala

The films of Jérémy Pavoncelli and Chloé Lecci López address themes of identity, family roots and confrontation with the past. Jérémy documents a symbolic adieus to his childhood apartment in Italy, marking the loss of a part of himself and his Italian cultural base. Chloé explores her father’s history and family roots in Catania, offering a vision of family dynamics through the testimonies of her relatives and young people like Giulio.Using a documentary approach to tell intimate stories, both films highlight the complexity of cultural identity and personal challenges.Together, these films offer a profound reflection on roots, life choices and the ongoing quest for identity. They explore how migratory experiences influence perceptions of self and origins, and how maintaining or losing ties with one’s country of origin can shape one’s life course and identity.
