Hartpon Editions presents CAPTURE, a look at creation in the making.
A book is a finished, delimited object. It is the fruit of choices, of cuts, and also of a process, of techniques that do not always appear between its pages. At the origin of Capture, there is thus a form of frustration, that of not being able to make this process visible, of having to leave aside the drafts, the notes, the rethinking.
Capture takes the form of a collection of booklets, close to a fanzine, which extends the experience of books published by Éditions Hartpon (Le monde nu, by Jean-Baptiste Née; Glaciers, by Aurore Bagarry; Luminescences, by Lucie Pastureau) or seeks to question the artists and authors on their practice, their tools, their research.
Through this collection, and the digital objects that will accompany it, Capture wants to show the stages of the elaboration of a project, the path of a work, to be interested in the tools, to welcome the experiments, the research work of the artists, sketches, manuscripts… to expose the “backstage” of the creation.
