About SOLAR COLLECTIVE :

“In a changing world, we choose to unite through our profession, our community, and our city. We are launching a collective of women photographers living in Marseille, from diverse backgrounds but united by a common vision: to anchor our gaze in this Mediterranean metropolis, a crossroads of cultures and stories. Here, stories and identities intersect, and it is in this spirit of creativity and solidarity that we are founding the Collectif Solar. We are six photographers and one curator, united by complementary practices and sensibilities. Together, we are building a network that promotes female talent and creates new opportunities for collaboration. In an environment where women photographers remain underrepresented (in the art market, museum collections, and awards), we are committed to supporting each other and promoting the sharing of professional opportunities. The Solar Collective is an invitation to take action, connect, and open up new spaces for expression in contemporary photography.
