Taking action in response of the migrant crisis : the role of Kolone

fonds de dotation agnès b. has been working with the non-profit organization Kolone since 2016. At the height of the refugee crisis in France, the fund chose to support charities and non-profits seeking to help people who had been forced to leave their home countries.

Kolone was founded in 2011 by volunteers working with people living in exile in Paris, in camps near Canal Saint-Martin, Place Stalingrad and the city’s north-eastern districts. The organization offers French classes and cultural activities to young foreigners who recently arrived in France, so as to learn basic communication, fight for their rights and feel at home in their host country.
