THE SOS MEDITERRANEE SCARF 

agnès b. and fonds de dotation agnès b. launch a new SOS MEDITERRANEE scarf 

In 2018, agnès b. designed her first SOS MEDITERRANEE scarf, sold in her stores to raise awareness about the situation of thousands of people who die each year in the Central Mediterranean. All profits from the sale of the SOS MEDITERRANEE scarf are then given back to the organization.

Despite the obstacles that sea rescue NGOs currently face, SOS MEDIERRANEE has just launched a new vessel – the Ocean Viking, now at sea since July to carry out rescue operations. 

For these reasons, agnès b. has decided to launch a new scarf to support those trying to contain the humanitarian disaster currently taking place in the Mediterranean. 

SOS MEDITERRANEE was founded by European citizens in May 2015. It is based on the historical model of civil rescue companies created in the 19th century by northern European states to help passengers on their way to America. Since its inception, SOS MEDITERRANEE has come to the rescue of many people in distress at sea, regardless of their origin or status: men, women or children in danger of death while crossing the Mediterranean sea.

The new SOS MEDITERRANEE scarf is available for sale in all agnès b. stores as of late October.
